New S1 Graphic Printer module to be released at Cartes 2011 by Matica System for unsurpassed high-speed cards printing for boththe standard S7000 and the new sequential “Photo ID” high-speed issuance
Paderno Dugnano (MI), ITALY, november 2011 :
Matica System will introduce at Cartes 2011 in Paris its new high-speed print engine S1, that allows to dramatically increase card printing speed, thanks to its new fully-owned technology. With a resolution of 300 DPI, the new S1 is capable of printing both full-color and monochrome and will be employed in several Matica’s products, from the recently announced T10+ to the S7000 as aspecialized printing module.
The new S1 engine is also the core of the new sequential high-speed module, a S7000 solution module that will be shown at Cartes, which utilizes 5 dye-sublimation print engines in sequence (one for each single color YMCKO) especially designed for “photo ID” applications. The new S1, in fact, is capable to print up to 2.400 card per hour in applications such as themonochrome black print of small length of characters, and still around 2.000 cards per hour in applications such as barcodes.
Color printing performs at a rate of around 150 CPS, growing to up to 1.000 CPH if using the new Matica’s unique and unmatched sequential module solution!! Matica’s latest graphic printing engine is a considerable jump ahead bringing unsurpassed performance if compared to competitors’ solutions and allows nearly to double speed if compared to the previously used module.
