• Brand new EDIsecure™ MC660 product line broadens Matica’s hardware proposition – and launches the first product arising from strategic alliance with Canon Finetech Nisca.
  • MC660 printer series adds new ribbons to chromXpert consumables program.
  • Easy to use, high resolution, fast speed and all encoding options available.

MUNICH, Germany, 10 June, 2019 – Matica Technologies AG will launch a new retransfer printer line, ‘EDIsecure™ MC660’, at Secure Document World 2019 (SDW2019), the global exhibition that brings together the world’s secure technologies and applications at the ExCeL, London (UK), from 11 to 13 June.

The new line of MC660 retransfer card printers will complement Matica’s comprehensive portfolio. The 600dpi high-resolution printing quality and the number of encoders available make the MC660 the perfect choice for high security ID applications in various markets including government, corporate and education.

The industry’s most comprehensive consumables program, Matica’s chromXpert, gets a boost with new ribbons such as the security ribbon YMCKSc for additional visual security, making cards issued by the MC660 much more secure and tamper resistant.

“We are delighted to launch the MC660 at SDW 2019 – it is the first product to emerge from our newly agreed strategic alliance with Canon, and combines Canon and Matica technologies,” said Ricard Ferrer, VP Global Marketing and Product Management, Matica Technologies AG. “The MC660 series of retransfer printers further strengthens Matica’s portfolio by offering new modules and new consumables in conjunction with one of the world’s leading lights in secure ID printing.”

Easy to integrate

MC660 follows the MDM (Matica Desktop Module) architecture and can be combined with different modules, (laminators, laser engraver, desktop embosser), to offer a scalable solution, which grows with customers’ needs while securing their investment.

“System integrators will appreciate the MC660 card printer on a number of levels but especially since it is very easy to integrate, and the short-edge card path makes the printer compatible with even more third-party modules,” continued Ferrer. “The MC660 also uses our internationally recognized EDIsecure™ driver architecture and SDK, which makes it easy to operate and to expand.”
