Sandro Camilleri has a degree in Business Administration and Finance from the European Business School in London, and attended a post-graduate course specializing in Mergers and Acquisitions at Wharton University of Philadelphia.
Over the last ten years, Mr. Camilleri has gained extensive knowledge of the Secure ID and Payment industry with significant “hands on” international business experience within Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
He is currently Chairman and CEO of Matica.

Chairman of the Board
Lukas Metzler is the chairman of the Board. He obtained a law degree at the University of Fribourg (Swiss). He specialises in corporate law and restructuring, contractual business law, mergers and acquisitions, law of succession and law on recording (notary public).
He worked as a lawyer at PricewaterhouseCoopers AG., St. Gallen (till mid 1998 called StG-Coopers & Lybrand AG) from 1994 to 1998 and at Ernst & Young, St. Gallen, from 1992 to 1994. From 1999 on he is partner at AMG Attorneys at Law (formerly Suter & Partners Attorneys at Law).
Since 2004 he has been chairman of MCS AG and then Matica Swiss AG.
Member of the Board
Karel Schweiss is a member of Matica’s Supervisory Board. He obtained his first state examination in law in 1985 at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University, Munich, and was admitted to the Munich Bar Association in 1989. He is also a qualified tax consultant and has extensive experience in corporate law and national and international tax law, with specializations in the tax treatment of corporate restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, and in the field of fiscal offences.
Over the last 30 years, Karel has worked with a number of corporations, such as the international law firm, Eversheds, as Head of Tax (Germany), and before joining Media Saturn – where he was responsible for developing the international tax department – he worked as Head of Tax/Special Projects for Philip Morris Germany, where he was responsible for the national and international tax structuring.
As of 2012, Karel is a lawyer and tax consultant with Mariacher Rechtsanwälte.
Member of the Board
Stefano Calabrò is member of the supervisory board. He graduated in mechanical engineering at the University of Genoa (Italy) in 1994. He joined ABB Corporate Research right after graduation where he developed innovative products for the group.
In 1999 he entered Alstom Power as project manager for the EPC of power plants. In 2002 he took an MBA at Insead (France) and the year after he joined Techint Group as Business Development Director leading the M&A activities.
In 2008 he joined Xenon Private Equity.
