  • Software Engineer (f/m) – Beijing (China)

    For our technical department in Beijing (China), we are looking for a Software Engineer (f/m) to produce and implement functional software solutions.

     

    Your Tasks
    • You will work with upper management to define software requirements and take the lead on operational and technical projects
    • In this role, you should be able to work independently with little supervision. You should have excellent organization and problem-solving skills. If you also have hands-on experience in software development and agile methodologies, we’d like to meet you
    • Your goal will be to develop high-quality software that is aligned with user needs and business goals
    Your Responsibilities
    • Develop high-quality software design and architecture for Matica’s card printers
    • Develop drivers and libraries (dll) for Matica desktop products integration
    • Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle
    • Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code
    • Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting
    • Review and maintain existing code base including bug fixing and/or refactoring
    • Support in the design and development of desktop and web engineering tools
    • Perform validation and verification testing
    • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products
    • Document development phases and monitor systems
    • Participate in Continuous Integration process
    • Develop test fixtures in Object-Oriented language
    • Ensure software is up-to-date with latest technologies

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience as a Software Engineer with at least 3 years of hands-on code development
    • Extensive experience in software development, scripting
    • Experience using automated testing frameworks
    • Knowledge of selected programming languages and platform (Microsoft Visual Studio and C++ and JAVA)
    • Familiarity with various operating systems (Linux, Windows)
    • Ability to complete design related tasks with minimal supervision
    • Previous experience integrating Windows-based applications (driver and SDK) with peripheral devices a plus
    • Familiar with LINUX-based development- driver and SDK
    • BSc in Computer Science or a related degree
    • Excellent oral and written language skills in English and Mandarin

    Your Tasks
    • Develop new Channel Partners for Matica products in North America. Assume accountability for achieving defined revenue targets. Call on existing and potential clients to identify their current or perspective needs and provide information about Matica’s products/services including demonstrations and quotations
    • Enable partners to resell Matica’s identification products and successfully implement them
    • Grow the company’s customer base through opening new accounts and develop a pipeline of opportunities through regular client meetings
    • Analyse the partner’s business needs and provide sales analysis to Sales Director Americas thru providing sales out reports, stock reports, and regular market reports
    • Research and develop sales presentations to effectively relate Matica’s solutions to potential customers' needs. Help partners to develop business proposals for presentation to clients, assemble expertise from other departments to ensure that all technical areas are covered
    • Lead customers through the sales process as trusted advisor and by providing outstanding regular support
    • Maintain thorough knowledge of Matica’s products/services, sales objectives and strategies, pricing and delivery/installation policies and practices to be able to respond to customer requests for information
    • Leverage marketing activities/events as well as attend relevant industry events and trade shows to ensure Matica’s brand recognition within the marketplace
    • Review impact of new product releases, new product features, delivery schedules, and competitor offerings with sales personnel
    • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities within the company’s CRM system
    • Manage and ensure accurate and updated forecast
